Balance between digital and physical

Balance between digital & physical

I been reading and thinking a lot about my practice and also what I do mostly as designer. I’m a fulltime freelance designer/motion graphic artist that sometimes involve with projection mapping. It does give me a great joy on bringing the visual from a digital form into a physical form once it is mapped onto any object or building.

When I get into an NFT platform it does give a great opportunity for me to market or sell my work digitally but at the same time I still feel that it is nice to connect back to a physical world. For me projection mapping does give me a great opportunity to do that.

I was wondering for this residency maybe I could explore something similar. I would like to explore presenting it not only digitally but also physically. I’m looking for an idea to do a rapid prototyping using 3D printing technique for my final output. On top of that I will also use projection mapping as a tool to bring the visual back to live onto the tangible object that I’ve 3D printed.

Hopefully I can do this before the residency finish or probably after the residency.
