CONTINUUM

14 - 19 June, Saan1, Manchester

21 June - 21 July, Kedai KL, Kuala Lumpur

Time is a continuum. It flows smoothly from one moment to the next, connecting the past, present, and future without interruption. It’s like a never-ending river, with countless moments in between.

Every day, we look at our watches, clocks and calendars to plan our activities—when to eat, sleep, and do tasks. But time isn’t just about clocks and calendars; time is also a personal experience which blends the past and present together. This mix makes time both straightforward and complex.

Continuum explores these ideas, from the cyclical rhythms to the repetitive patterns. The artworks on display show how time influences how we see the world, remember things, and imagine the future.

As you spend time with each work, we invite you to think about:

  • How much time do artists spend making works? What might their processes be like?
  • Why do you spend longer on one work and less on the other?
  • How might your understanding of an artwork change over time?

*This exhibition is best experienced on desktop and landscape orientation on mobile.

Continuum is the end of the residency exhibition part of Creative Access in New Media Arts, a five-month online residency by In Transit in collaboration with Filamen, supported by the British Council’s Connections Through Culture Grant.

Throughout the residency, the artists explored methods of integrating access and projection into their creative practice.
